They’re freakin huge, so they have a veeerrry large contact patch with the road, (something a ball can never claim.) and they come with a 999,99 mi warranty. I had just learned that there was such a thing as a rubber tree, so my ten year old brain assumed the dandelion must’ve been related to it, and I began to experiment. Now keep in mind that I was conducting these scientific tests in a 8x8 tool shed, using the concave bottom of a soda can as a beaker, and candles as my only source of heat. But I was able to cook down a bunch of that sticky white liquid (seriously, shut up.) into a stickier brown substance that was closer to solid than liquid. So like... I almost invented the next generation of tires, but then a huge corporation hijacked my idea and payed billions of dollars to beat me to the punch. They might have even used time travel technology. And they only ever do that if an idea is going to save the human race, or if someone can get rich as fuq. So apparently I was onto something good. 🤷🏼‍♀️

As a mechanic looking at these airless tires... how will they be mounted on the rim and avoid slipping on the wheel via centrifugal force without the use of a bead and air pressure? Mounting today’s run flat tires is hard enough.. I can barely imagine trying to get a ribbed (essentially solid, unpliable unit) airless tire on a rim. Michelin is gonna have to make a video on the installation process before these tires are released, and my guess is that these tires will be impossible to mount with standard equipment, making them inaccessible to most people.
